Event based stream sampling in Northeastern Minnesota. 2016-2017. This is an interim report summarizing field sampling and data analysis conducted by the Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI) for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Watershed Pollutant Load Monitoring Network (WPLMN). Streams sampled during this period include St Louis River near Forbes and in Floodwood, as well as Swan, Whiteface, Cloquet, and Second Rivers all in the St Louis River watershed; and, Stony and Kawishiwi Rivers in the Rainy watershed. Streams sampled during this period include St Louis River near Forbes and in Floodwood, as well as Swan, Whiteface, Cloquet, and Second Rivers all in the St Louis River watershed; and, Stony and Kawishiwi Rivers in the Rainy watershed. Also includes data from 2012 and 2013 for Little Fork and Sturgeon Rivers in the Rainy River basin as well as Amity Creek and Knife River in the Lake Superior basin.
