(This app currently behaves as if all are checked.)
The Lake Victoria surveys are organized by year and "season". There are 2 seasons per year:
- Stratified (-s) refers to surveys taken during the wet season (generally Feb-Apr).
- Mixed (-m) is the dry season (generally Aug-Oct).
Hover over a survey season (to the left of the map) to see how many transects and profiles are available.
Click the season to display its transect and profile locations on the map:
- Round markers indicate where the profiles were taken.
- Arrow-shaped markers indicate the starting point of a transect.
(A straight line is drawn from the starting segment to the end segment of each transect.)
The markers can be colored by season, or to indicate the value of a desired parameter.
Hover over a marker on the map to see a summary. Click the marker to plot the profile or transect.
On the plot you can click the name of a series in the legend to toggle whether or not it is shown.
Click the "Settings" button to open a control panel where you can set the scales for each axis.
You can also click-and-drag (or pinch-zoom with a touch-screen) on the plot to zoom-in temporarily. Hit the "Reset zoom" button to zoom back to the current axis settings.
