Birds found in and around Western Lake Superior Streams

Riparian areas in northern Minnesota have more bird species and individuals than the adjacent upland forest.

Insect-eating birds rely heavily on the bugs "produced" in streams. Several fish eating birds also frequent streams.

Here's a short list of those birds most commonly found along Lake Superior Streams.
